So what could be a better Faith Friday, than the celebrating the sacrament of Holy Matrimony? Answer: nothing, well maybe Jesus. But today we will stick with weddings. And with that, a few weekends ago I traveled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for an amazing weekend.
Let me back up to where I first met Anna, all the way back to third grade. Yes, since the age of 8, I have had the pleasure of being friends and growing up with this goofy, bubbly, full-of-life girl, who can put a smile on anyone’s face.
We rented a car and drove the 6 hours to arrive at the rehearsal dinner that the groom himself catered! He had the grill going and the food was delicious. They even had gluten-free buns, which was such a generous gesture. Anna and Greg are just so kind, love them!
We went out for drinks with Ben and Linda (who just got married a few months ago, you can read about that here) after the rehearsal dinner and then went to bed. We woke up early in the morning to work out and then I headed to the salon! One of the bridesmaid offered to pick up Starbucks and I was and always will be eternally grateful.
Anna had our whole high school group as bridesmaid, which made the weekend a blast. It was fun reconnecting and spending time with all these ladies that have spent so many sleepovers, proms, sports, and talking with.
After we were all glommed up, Anna slipped into her dress with the help of Alexa, Kelsey, and her mother. Such a precious moment.
Then while Anna, took some pre-wedding shots. We had the best time, catching up and hanging out waiting for the ceremony to begin!
Anna gave us beautiful pearl necklaces, that you can see in this shot. Again, so generous.
The ceremony was beautiful, and the vows were so heartfelt. I just love weddings.
Soon after the couple wed, we hopped on a party bus to take pictures around the area. Then arrived at the reception area for dinner! I ordered the vegan option, because it was gluten-free and I was curious.
It was roasted vegetables drizzled with a balsamic reduction! Yumm
And then we got to dance the night away and celebrate great love!
There were too many great moments to document, but I wish Anna and Greg a lifetime of happiness, and they deserve it! Congrats!
